Magnolia leaves hold up very well in humid environments, so they make a great terrarium addition. A medium-sized leaf, most leaves measure about 4-7 inches, but can vary quite a bit in length.

Mimicking the role of dead plant matter in the rainforest, leaf litter also puts nutrients back into the environment, providing the stuff plants and microfauna need to thrive! One gallon of leaf litter will cover approximately 1.5 square feet to the desired depth of 1 inch.
Although our leaves are collected in a pesticide and herbicide free environment, many choose to further treat vivarium decor. Leaves can be baked to a temperature of 140°F, eliminating potential harmful organisms.
